All of our frames are handmade at a nature conservatory outside of Lima, Peru. No butterflies are harmed or killed for this process, as most butterflies have a natural lifespan of only 2-6 weeks. Farm-raising butterflies in nature conservatories is one of the best ways to help preserve the many diverse species of butterflies that exist in the tropics who are currently facing rapid habitat loss.
